Grandmaster Armando Alvarez Jr.
Armando Alvarez Jr. earned his black belt in Taekwon-Do at the young age of eleven, and since then, martial arts has been the core of his life—his passion, discipline, and purpose. Trained under the legendary Moon Sung Lee, founder of Strong Martial Arts and Astoria Martial Arts, Grandmaster Alvarez has dedicated himself to mastering the art of Taekwon-Do and passing that knowledge to others with unwavering commitment.
His training was deeply influenced by not only Moon Sung Lee but also by the iconic Grandmaster Jae Hwa Kwon, both of whom stand as his greatest inspirations and mentors. Their teachings shaped his understanding of Taekwon-Do not just as a physical discipline but as a way of life—rooted in strength, humility, and respect.
Grandmaster Alvarez embodies this philosophy every day in his teaching, exemplifying dedication through continuous training and leadership. He believes that martial arts is more than technique; it’s about building character, resilience, and a lifelong journey of growth.
